Kingu Kongu

When Toho made King Kong vs. Godzilla in 1962, they had to make King Kong a lot taller and give him crazy lightening power in order for the fight to be competitive. They also made a suit rather than animate Kong through stop motion, which is how he was shown in the 1933 movie. The result was a character that people who follow this sort of thing dubbed "Kingu Kongu," Japanese King Kong, because it wasn't the REAL King Kong.

Ernest Scared Stupid

This movie scared me really bad when I saw it in theaters in 1991. It was the scene where the one kid was walking through the woods at night and fell into this ditch, and he was scrambling up the side and screaming for help, and then someone grabs his arm and he looks up and it's THE FUCKING TROLL and the troll turns the kid into a little wooden doll. That's what did it.
